Američki bend s Floride – Tonstartssbandht ili kako ih fanovi zovu – “The Best Band in the World” dolazi premijerno u Zagreb u sklopu svoje europske turneje.
Andy White (vokal i gitara), inače gitarist benda Maca DeMarca, i njegov brat Edwin White (bubanj) osnovani su 2008. u rodnom Orlandu te otada djeluju kao duo koji istražuje polje psihodelije, noise rocka, lo-fija, sve do countryja kroz svoje fluidne zvukove i mistične tekstove.
Tonstartssbandht jedan je od najzanimljivijih bendove američke indie scene, a prošle godine izdaje svoj album “Petunia” pod indie američkim labelom “Mexican Summer”. Album je najkompletniji rad benda dosada, što dokazuje i to da je uvršten u top 30 albuma 2021. godine od strane prestižnoga muzičkog portala Pitchfork, koji piše:

“Through they easily slid into the slacker rock boom of the ‘10s with their punny track names and funny haircuts (the brothers were even roommates with Mac DeMarco), Tonstartssbandht always pushed their sounds to more transcendental ends, taking lessons from krautrock and noise as handily as they did from country music. Their focus on live performance has meant that for the most part, the best way to hear Tonstartssbandht was either in the room with them or on one of their outstanding live records, which captured their sprawling psychedelia in all its shaggy glory.” – Pitchfork

Tonstartssbandht se ističe svojim dinamičnim nastupima s inovativnim psihodeličnim improvizacijama, a vođeni idejom o glazbi koja diše poput živoga bića, u svom opusu konstantno eksperimentiraju i iskušavaju njezine nove oblike.
